We had a call from Jane at minischoolwarrington.com as her Mini Cooper Diesel had developed a rattle on start up. The vehicle was dropped off to us on Monday and our technicians diagnosed this to be coming from the timing chains. We had the Engine removed and the timing chains replaced by Wednesday evening, road tested and re assessed during the Thursday morning, ready for Jane to collect in the afternoon. Luckily Jane called us before the fault had time to cause permanent damage to the Engine, if left the chains could potentially snap resulting in major damage. Back in 2015 we moved into our new permanent, purpose built premises just off Junction 7 of the M62. Starting with a bare shell of a building we set about converting it into a modern, efficient workshop with a reception & waiting area to rival the main dealerships. What we ended with was a large seven ramp workshop, two separate programming and diagnostic bays, an independent MOT testing lane and a modern, air conditioned reception area, complete with Television, a Coffee/Tea machine, leather seats and toilet facilities. Upstairs we have a staff break out area, two medium sized functioning office spaces and one large office space complete with a glass front. Phil, a good customer of ours, came down for an interim service on his epic M2. We have successfully carried out a number of Union Jack tail light retrofits. This is fast becoming one of the most popular upgrades on any Pre facelift MINI F56. As you can see from the before and after picture below, this visually enhances the look of the rear no end. We use Genuine units and we have the ability to code/program the vehicle to ensure no bulb error messages or flickering of the indicators occurs. A great way to freshen up the exterior of a pre-facelift F56 MINI.

MSS (Modular Suspension Solutions) height adjustable lowering springs and 12mm TPI wheel spacers fitted to this factory fresh 2020 BMW M2 Competetion. This was picked up from the Dealership and driven straight to us as the customer was unhappy with the height of the vehicle in stock form. MSS height adjustable springs were the perfect choice allowing us to set the car up with a modest lowering of 15mm on the rear and 20mm at the front. Coupled with the TPI 12mm wheel spacers, this has given this M2 so much more presence on the road, performance benefits of having a lower slightly fimer spring and the option to lower or raise the vehicle as you wish. We highly recommend!

A few progress shots from last week when we had a 2020 M2 Competition in for a set of MSS (Modular Suspension Solutions) height adjustable lowering springs and a set of 12mm wheel spacers. We replaced the OEM springs for the MSS and then set the geometry up on our four wheel alignment machine. The MSS suspension coupled with a set of wheel spacers are a great way to enhance the look of any BMW/MINI and gives the client full control of how they want their car to sit. A very good friend of the shop asked if we could give his 1959 Ford Popular a once over. Not your average Ford Popular however with a 5.3 litre small block Ford 327ci V8. He was also happy to give it a little blip in the workshop for us 👉😲👈 Who does not love an American Muscle V8!? Another BMW i8, with a pearlescent wrap, in with "Engine Overheating" warnings popping up intermittently. We found that one of its four radiators had large coolant leak, parts now ordered and will be back on the road in no time.
